Today was really sad because my great-grandpa died. So to remember him we are going to make an altar for him. When my dad told us that he died we were all really sad so we talked about the great memories we had of him. he was always really nice, charming and generous .
I'm feeling sad, too, Oscar. I know we're all going to miss Grandpa Dave a lot. I hope you share a picture of your altar when it's finished!

For a long time I didn't pay much attention to altars or shrines, Oscar, but in the last few days I feel like I've made a discovery (once your family got us started). As you know, the different items help me recall different things that Grandpa Dave did or interests that he had, and Jo and I have enjoyed adding more objects. At some point our altars will be more or less finished, and then I think we should send each other close up photos. I'd like to display the different altars side by side on our bulletin board so that we can show our friends. Papa
