today we went to the supermarket and got tons and tons of stuff. After that we found a field were there were goals and me and mina shot on each other

Since I know and admire your great knowledge of WWI and Germay and since you now live in Mexico, I thought you might like this: As you know, I speak Afrikaans, which developed from Dutch, German, other European languages, SA Bantu languages etc. In the 19th century German and Dutch Mennonites settled in Mexico and developed a mixed language in the same way Afrikaners did: it's called "Plautdietch," a simplification of "PlattDeutch" which is German for "Low German." This language is also spoken in other South American countries. The only example I have is from the Lord's Prayer, jeff ons Dach fe Dach daut Broot, daut ons fehlt,Give us day by day the bread that we need, which is almost the same as one would say it in Afrikaans. Maybe you can track the Plautdietch down and tell them all the things you know about WWII! Love you, Tansie Gerda
