I signed up for the Escolta (the people who march around with the flag) two days ago. Today, there was a presentation with some other schools, so with five other students I marched with the flag in my hand. We got really fancy uniforms which I liked cause we look sailors in the army. We didn't do awesome but it was totally worth the experience. Here are some photos.

You and your escolta team (or whatever you should be called) look mghty sharp. You all do look like young sailors! You've had so many memorable experiences, Oscar! It seems like the escolta is some kind of flag drill, but does it also have some historical connections?
ReplyDeleteMiss you,
Papa Tom
no it's just kinda honoring the niƱos Heroes (boy heroes) because there were six but the last one to die jumped of the castle wall instead of being captured. But I won't do that.
DeleteThanks for the updates, Oscar! Always good to see you, whether you're in uniform or civilian clothes.
